Eddie Hearn has contested whether Tyson Fury can match his aspirations of regaining a world title after accepting’simple’ fights in preparation.
Former world champion Fury claims next 28, it will set up a rematch from WBC titleholder Deontay Wilder and faces Otto Wallin on Saturday.
“Fury has easy fights that nobody is considering,” said Anthony Joshua’s promoter Hearn. “He assumed to be the greatest heavyweight in the world? Nobody is speaking about his fight.
“The fascination in Fury is diminishing. It is almost a year since he and Wilder battled and what has occurred? Nothing.”
Asked if Fury may be tempted to fight Joshua eventually, Hearn said:”Fury is a rival and can be up for a battle, however, he is having battles where he can’t get beaten. His profile will dip and his desire might as well.”
Has been critical of Fury’s choice to carry on Wallin.
Joshua said:”I struggled Wallin as a amateur. [Fury and Wilder ] and these type of individuals will be the cream of their crop and shouldn’t be battling with. I can’t combat Wallin, I do not believe I could ever combat lower-tier heavyweights.”
Fury defeated Tom Schwarz in two rounds in his most recent fight, after a draw with Wilder.
Sweden’s Wallin is unbeaten in 21 fights, also really has been removed from his outcome, a success against his 24, a year Adrian Granat.
“Otto had a great camp and couldn’t maintain a far much better mental or physical state,” his promoter Dmitriy Salita told Sky Sports.
“He is coming to shock the world – and he’s in the mental condition to do it.”
Wallin said:”[Fury] can do whatever he wants regarding carrying me seriously or not.
“Fury revealed a good chin and a lot of heart in that fight [against Wilder], but perhaps those shots have taken something from him”
