Steve Smith has regained top position from the ICC Test.
Smith missed the third Ashes Test at Headingley with concussion however has toppled Kohli following the latter recorded a duck in the second innings of both India over West Indies in Jamaica.
The Australian leads the way with points a place back on New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson in third position on points along with 903 points.
Smith – who’s scored 144, 142 and 92 in his three innings in this Ashes series – could increase his tally during the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford this week but Kohli isn’t back in Test action until India sponsor South Africa in October.
Smith initially became # 1 in December 2015 however Kohli overtook him in August 2018 if Smith was out of action due to his single-family ban after the scandal.
After finishing a century and two fifties in four innings at the 2-0 series win over West Indies in the Caribbean four locations have risen to seventh.
Jasprit Bumrah and Jason Holder have climbed together with Bumrah, into the top five of the Test bowling rankings.
India seamer Bumrah picked up six wickets, such as a hat-trick, in West Indies’ first innings at Jamaica, while 5-77 was bagged by Windies skipper Holder in the opening dig of India.
Australia’s Pat Cummins (908 factors ) tops the standings, followed by South Africa’a Kagiso Rabada (851) along with Bumrah (835), together with Holder and James Anderson tied for fourth (814).
Holder remains the leading all-rounder, with Vernon Philander, Shakib Al Hasan, Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes rounding out the top five on that listing.
