There’s two that stand out to me in the ITV opener, especially.
Rosadora (11/1) has been running some pretty solid races this year, but has slipped under the radar somewhat. She had been last seen finishing a couple of lengths behind Graceful Magic and Rose of Kildare. She finished a close runner-up at this track in Doncaster. Others seem a good deal more vulnerable.
Company Mix (15/2) has generated a few decent runs of late, and also both year-old ought to keep progressing. There were some good horses in behind, such as Caspian Queen, who has beaten Graceful Magic Although she finished second to Lover Powerful last workout.
It takes a brave punter to take at Doncaster on the favourite in the next race. Last month, after breaking her duck at Goodwood over this distance she has been mightily impressive. If a similar attempt awakens she will be far too good for this field despite providing weight to all of her younger rivals.
Given the record in two races of Andy Holding, this might be just one for him. But, there are two who are really worth an each-way punt.
The very first is Rayong who finished a distant second in York to Mums Tipple. Not a lot of horses could have matched the run of Mums Tipple on that afternoon, so there is no humiliation. The two-year-old also has put in a run against Liberty Beach this year, and still beat some horses that are decent, a horse I hold in high regard. Appears Ranked with firms at 16/1.
The second horse I enjoy is Storm. I believe bookies have been too quick to judge that particular horse. The two year-old went at back in May. Since completed a close third and 10, he is. Could be really capable of a great deal more. Worth a bet at 18/1.
Cloak Of Spirits (5/2) did not have the simplest of excursions at Ascot, but still won easily. This form has been promoted by a few finishing behind. She retains an entry into the Group 1 Fillies Mile. She must be too great for this area.
