Robert Griffin III is eagerly awaiting his chance, where or when it may arise, even though he doesn’t know.
Despite throwing only six moves over the past two seasons, Griffin hasn’t been occupying in Baltimore. He’s been elevated from Lamar Jackson’s mentor to Jackson’s copy, which means he’s one snap away from visiting the area.
The stated the league is in for a fantastic surprise in 2019 concerning the Ravens’ offense that was reconfigured.

“I have to create sure I understand the offense, backward and forward,” Griffin explained, through the team’s official website. “The crime will appear different. I believe with what we are going to perform we’ll shock some folks. If we must run it 60 times, we can do it. However, if we need to throw it 30 to 40 times, we can also do it. I believe that is what we’re working , to ensure we have those capabilities.”
Obviously, no NFL team ran the ball more often last year. The Ravens’ run-pass ratio was especially imbalanced once Jackson was inserted into the starting lineup in Week 11. Baltimore conducted on 65.6 percent of its plays from scrimmage when winning six of its final seven matches, claiming the AFC North in the procedure. But as Griffin noted, the strategy under OC Greg Roman is to be flexible moving.
They added a few bits this offseason with that initiative in mind, drafting wide receivers Marquise”Hollywood” Brown and Miles Boykin and operating Justice Hill, and signing former Saints Pro Bowler Mark Ingram.
“This game is all about mismatches and that’s what we’re attempting to create,” Griffin said. “You get a guy like Hollywood, it is a speed mismatch. When you receive a guy like Boykin, it is a height and achieve mismatch. Get them in scenarios where they can be successful.”
RGIII sees his position . The team took a flier on the former star after he sat out the 2017 season. Then it resigned him into some deal this spring up of trading Joe Flacco to the Broncos, in the wake. Griffin, whose ultimate aim at 29″is to develop into a franchise quarterback” again, said Roman and QBs coach James Urban emphasized in a private meeting how much they appreciate Griffin’s role on the group and, possibly, in the offense should Jackson be sidelined.
“It meant a great deal for them to sit down and have that conversation with me,” Griffin explained. “I haven’t had that conversation with anybody for a longlong moment. I have just been fighting for the next meal. And when I got drafted in 2012, I never thought I would be in that place where I needed to fight for the next meal. …
“I am happy to be here, I’m excited to be here, I love this place, I love this business. They have treated me nicely. I have bigger goals in mind, and those goals start with the Baltimore Ravens. So I have to make sure that I do everything I can to be the most appropriate for the Baltimore Ravens.”
That strategy has paid off — literally — for Griffin far.
