Sprinter Richard Kilty has Hunted by his team-mates in the World Athletics Championships in Doha to captain Great Britain.
The double European indoor 60m champion is part of the 4x100m relay group and will be preparing for his fourth World Championships, which start next week.
Kilty said:”It seems unbelievable. It’s almost always a enormous honour to represent the team as captain feels fantastic but to be chosen.
“It will certainly go down as a distinctive moment in my sports career. The squad is gifted with celebrity athletes.
“A great deal of these athletes in the squad have leadership abilities and would do an awesome job at being captain. This makes it extra special my athletes have selected me as their captain.
“I have a fantastic story to tell and I will try my very best to inspire the team each second from my group address and on a daily basis on the duration of the Championships.”
30, kilty, will be a reigning Commonwealth champion in the function and won European gold in the men’s 4x100m relay in 2014.
He even won the 200m in the European Team Championships last month, coming in 0.05 seconds of his greatest best of 20.34secs set in 2013.
