Vegas Over/Under: 33.5
Fromal’s Record Projection: 31-51 The Bet: Beneath with confidence Throughout the 2016-17 effort, the Orlando Magic made 32.8 percent of the three-point efforts, which left them before just the Oklahoma City Thunder (32.7 percent). They also took only 26.1 treys per contest, once again finishing in the league’s bottom half (No. 16).
These amounts aren’t conducive to success in today’s NBA, which puts more and more of an emphasis on shooting beyond the rainbow each year.
So naturally, their flaw was addressed by the Magic by adding the following gamers, many of whom fought at 2016-17 from downtown:
Marreese Speights: 37.2 percentage on 3.4 attempts per game for the Los Angeles Clippers
Jonathan Isaac: 34.8 percent on 2.8 efforts per game for the Florida State Seminoles (using a shorter arc)
Shelvin Mack: 30.8 percentage on 2.2 attempts per game for your Utah Jazz
Jonathon Simmons: 29.4 percentage on 1.3 attempts per game for the San Antonio Spurs
Adreian Payne: 20.0 percent on 0.8 attempts per game for the Minnesota Timberwolves
Speights’ presence may help, however, the enduring frontcourt logjam of the team can make it hard for him to earn moments.
Why are we supposed to believe the Magic will win five more games this season and hit the over?
