Manchester United executive order vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes the Glazer family have no plans amid rumours about a possible takeover bid by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
The Glazer family and Woodward have come under increasing pressure with United finding themselves 13th at the Premier League after nine matches.
Their league position follows a whole summer-spend of #143.1m for the club, which has been utilized to acquire Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and also Daniel James.
Reports have indicated that Saudi’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has been ready to cover in excess of #3bn to purchase United, but Woodward insists that the Glazers – who took over possession of the club in 2005 – are still all currently going nowhere.
“Based on what I see, they’re in it to the long term,” Woodward told the United We Stand fanzine.
“With respect to offers or asking prices, my understanding is there have been no discussions for a price for the club or anything else like that. Every conversation we have will be based on the long-term”
Ahead of United’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday, the defended the choice to appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager on a fulltime basis and struck back at criticisms within the club’s financial debts and recruitment policies.
Woodward stayed at the U.K to assist conduct transfer organization, as opposed to join up with United to their 2019 pre-season excursion, as he pledged funds to Solskjaer to assist reconstruct United’s squad after a”turbulent season”.
“The debt is a long term, structured and comparable to another football clubs,” he further added.
“it is a fixed amount for a specific period of time which results in it being rather cheap to service.
“It’s just under two per cent of our yearly revenue every year, so it doesn’t actually have any effect on us.”
