Heather Watson was conquered at the Tianjin Open closing as Rebecca Peterson won her second WTA title.
By winning last month Nanchang Open, the Swede, who opened her accounts, recovered from an early break in each set to win 6-4 6-4 in 38 seconds and one hour.
Watson broke serve in the second match but was pegged no more 59, leaving the match effectively on function from the planet back after three matches lasting almost 22 minutes.
Some strong hitting helped Peterson choose the set, before closing it out 6-4 in under one hour with a nice forehand winner breaking Watson in game nine.
Watson responded and started the next set having a break in match two as the first, in the same fashion – however more she recovered this time, the lead following a double fault to set up break point.
The Brit was broken in her next service game to trail 3-2, which became 5-3 to leave Watson functioning to stay in the game.
She did thus, forcing Peterson to serve out it, but a straight-sets win was completed by a cozy hold to 15 and secured the name.
