New Zealand Rugby have announced that former All Blacks centre next calendar year, Mark Robinson will succeed Steve Tew as chief executive.
Tew, who has been chief executive as 2007 disclosed he is going to resign from the job at the close of the year.
Robinson, who played with with nine evaluations will assume the role next calendar year.
He said:”I’m really excited about what this opportunity provides.
“I’ve got a crystal very clear vision to continue to develop the great work already established under Steve’s view and recognise the substantial duty we have in ensuring our game proceeds to flourish at all levels”
Robinson had his career blighted by a succession of injuries, after he retired, returning to New Zealand as chief executive of the Taranaki Rugby Union.
Among his first tasks will be to build a relationship together with Steve Hansen stepping down in Japan following the World Cup, with a new All Blacks coach.
