World welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr is expected to make a full recovery after an automobile crash on Thursday that left him.
The IBF and WBC champion was taken into intensive care after his Ferrari was involved in a rollover crash at Dallas, Texas.
A statement from Dallas Police Department said Spence was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car as itflipped multiple times at the wee hours of Thursday morning.
But, Spences agents Premier Boxing have released a statement which says the boxer isexpected to make a complete recovery and is resting with his family by his side.
Spence is alert & reacting and his condition remains stable. He didnt sustain some broken bones-but has some facial lacerations, the statement persists.
The Spences wish to thank everyone for their prayers and wishes and are extremely grateful to the Dallas initial responders who hurried to the scene and also the doctors that are taking care of him.
Undefeated Spence Jr fought beating Shawn Porter through split decision to add the WBC title to his IBF belt.
He has held the IBF title when he beat Kell Brook Sheffield Uniteds Bramall Lane to eventually become a world champion.
