Phil Neville says he’s”100 per cent happy” as England Women’s boss despite links to the United States Women’s vacancy.
Ahead of Tuesday’s defeat from Bergen, it was reported Neville was the number one goal of world champions.
However, if asked about the rumours following the game, Neville – who’s defined to be in charge of a Great Britain team at the summer’s Tokyo Olympics – stated:”I have been connected with lots of jobs because becoming England manager and that’s because my players’ve been so excellent.
“I’ve said earlier, I really like the job I am doing, it’s a tremendous challenge.
“The players have been heading in the perfect direction and I get backed unbelievably from the FA. So I am 100 per cent happy.”
England’s defeat to Norway currently means the Lionesses have gone four games without a win because their 3-0 World Cup quarter-final victory.
During Tuesday’s match, the Football Association announced the following fixture will be a friendly against Brazil at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium.
And Neville said:”We’ve got another game after that that we’ll announce soon, and I have mentioned to them we have to win both games. We have to begin winning games again and playing better.”
