It wasn’t quite enjoy the onslaught on Tuesday, however, the Dodgers opened another blowout win about the Miami Marlins last night in Marlins Park. On the insides of a 15-1 win, the Dodgers did not slow down and slammed the Marlins by a score of 9-1. Justin Turner opened the scoring with a solo shot off Eliaser Hernandez and the Dodgers kept attacking.
The offense provedn’t the ones getting following it. For a second successive night, the Dodgers acquired output signal from both their offensive and pitching components. Clayton Kershaw was on fire and got through half of this match with a perfect game. He left the contest with just 2 hits given and 10 strikeouts. If their turning can fire on all cylinders such as that come October, then the Dodgers are likely to be a hopeless outside in the postseason.
We must keep in mind that this really was the Miami Marlins which Dustin May and Kershaw chewed up and spit out, though. The Marlins would be the worst offense in the significant leagues and they’ve struggled to score against a great deal of pitchers. But Kershaw has frustrated a lot of hitters and May is the top pitching prospect in the Dodgers’ system.
Next up from the turning to get the Dodgers will be Walker Buehler. He is another alternative in their rotation that is deadly on the bump as well. There are not too many rotations in baseball that will lose two associates and fire away like this.
The Indians have success without Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco, and likewise, the Dodgers are still flourishing without Rich Hill and Ross Stripling. Buehler will find the phone against Caleb Smith, who is hoping that the Dodger bats are finished with hitting the laces the ball off this afternoon. Head below for our free Dodgers vs. Marlins pick.

The Yankees sent Caleb Smith into the Marlins within the Giancarlo Stanton deal a couple of Years Back. He has been showing some steady progress and was a bright spot in an otherwise down time for the Marlins. After posting an ERA of 7.71 in nine appearances with the Yankees at 2017, Smith improved on that in his very first season in Miami. Smith submitted a 4.19 ERA in 16 starts and has improved on that figure, at least so far.
Having a significant setback late in the summer, he’s going to have an ERA below 4.00 for first time in his young significant league career. His final outing is one to overlook, with allowed 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 4.2 innings against the Braves. In his last 3 outings, Smith has published a 5.94 ERA along with also 1.56 WHIP in 16.2 innings. Against this Dodgers’ crime, he must expect to do better than Yamamoto and Hernandez, but still may not deliver the Marlins close to a win here.
Walker Buehler has ever had his strategy against the Marlins in the past. They’re hitting only .211 without a home runs in 57 at-bats. Overall, not many clubs have been in a position to hit Buehler hard this season. It isn’t only the awful Marlins’ crime, that are dead last in the majors in runs scored per match. Buehler published an ERA of 2.21 and 1.13 WHIP in his previous three outings.
He’s surrendered only 1-run at 15 innings of work and allowed no or 1 runs in 3 of the past four starts. The Dodgers are all rolling and I don’t see it stopping on Thursday. Don’t expect a beatdown just such as we watched the last two days, but the Dodgers likely have control throughout this game to get a 6-3 or 5-2 victory.
