Dejan Lovren says he is not happy sitting to the Liverpool seat but is relieved his unsuccessful move saga is finished for today.
The Croatia centre-half has affirmed that he wished to leave Anfield in the summer after falling behind Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk at the pecking order of Jurgen Klopp.
Lovren had been targetted by nightclubs such as AC Milan but Liverpool and Roma and Klopp insisted that they wanted to stay.
“I feel relief the transfer window is shut. I got tired of reading and listening every day about me staying or leaving in Liverpool,” Lovren told Ms newspaper Sportske Novotsti.
“Everyone wrote’Dejan is here, Dejan is there’, and knew nothing. Me disturbs. (But) yes, I’d consider moving. It didn’t happen, I had been told Liverpool needs me and I accepted that, although I wanted to leave.
“I am not the sort of player who likes to be benched and earn money. I was advised by some people around me’what exactly do you care? You’re in a club take the money’ – but I’m not happy about the bench.
“I’m really happy because all of the time that I felt LFC was me. I respect a great deal. Klopp explained’listen you are a top-class participant. We will not let you go online loan. We want you’.
“Last week I spoke to Klopp again, he told me he knows me, knows I am not happy, but he also said’look, now it is completed, I’d like you to refresh your mind, I detect you significant’.
“I’m in my prime era, in terrific shape, emotionally ready and you can’t buy experience.”
