Avid and Victoria Beckham have hit out at fake news generated by societal websites that triggered fevered online speculation that the couple would be to divorce.
Claims the few were to split began circulating on Twitter on Friday morning and even motivated a large street bookmakers to suspend betting on them getting a divorce.
But suggestions of a’Bexit’ – a disbanding of Britain’s greatest celebrity brand – were scoffed at by the bunch.
The rumours were strongly denied by the Beckhams, clearly exasperated by the speed with which the net can relay gossip as fact but unchecked.
