Avid and Victoria Beckham have hit at fake news generated by social media that caused fevered online speculation the couple are to divorce.
Claims the couple were to split began circulating on Twitter on Friday morning as well as prompted a high street bookmakers to suspend betting on those getting a divorce.
But suggestions of a’Bexit’ – a disbanding of Britain’s greatest celebrity brand – were scoffed at by the couple.
The rumours were strongly denied by the Beckhams, obviously exasperated by the speed with which the net can relay gossip as truth but unchecked.

What nonsense. Journalist Chinese whispers and bogus news fuelled by interpersonal networking. There is not any impending announcement, no divorce”
David Beckham’s spokesman stated:”It is crap. It’s one of those laughable, nonsense things. There’s not any divorce. It’s laughable.”
