Burnley boss Sean Dyche is happy to provide Danny Drinkwater another opportunity after the midfielder has been hurt in an incident outside a nightclub.
The on-loan Chelsea midfielder was envisioned with injuries and also suffered an ankle problem that’s set to rule out him for a variety of months.
Dyche is known as a supervisor who appreciates professionalism tremendously but, openly, he dropped to criticise Drinkwater, stating:”[Footballers] are now human beings, they do have personal lives, which occasionally aren’t confidential, obviously. And sometimes they get in scratches.
“He is certainly old enough and smart enough to understand you do whatever you can to not get in scrapes, but sometimes it occurs.
“We’ve been large within our time here – you can not simply discuss development if it is fantastic news, you also must work with gamers if things are not quite as good.
“It has been more that sort of scenario, have a chat with him and say, what happened first of all, what was the situation that led into it. OK, let’s move away from that, now in which to do we proceed from here. So I think that’s where we’re at.”
Dyche failed to show whether Burnley have punished Drinkwater, saying:”Just talked to him, the rest of it is private.”
The 29-year-old created his Clarets introduction in the Carabao Cup defeat by Sunderland with missed the start of the year after being frozen out of the picture at Chelsea to develop his fitness.
Dyche added:”He’s a player that I’d worked with before at Watford. I believe I understand a bit about what he is about, he’s had a lot occur because then a great deal of great successes in his career, of course, so I think we want to get him back to this.
“This is simply a bump in the circumstance. We wish to ensure he gets right back to being completely match, playing well, the attention of the tiger it takes to be a top player.”
Speaking on the injury sustained by Drinkwater, Dyche said:”That bit is not perfect. It is part and parcel of the incident. It is not too severe but it’s going to be a few months and then becoming in a different game to catch up.
“If you choose a participant in, he becomes a part of us. So we will use Danny and attempt to assist him and, notably, he has to make himself fit.”
