Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley has now agreed to become the new director of Huddersfield Town, Sky Sports News knows.
After handling just one victory from his 19 games in charge of the Yorkshire 19, jan Siewert departed Huddersfield.
Following the German’s dismissal, Mark Hudson was named as the Terriers’ boss and oversaw his Sky Bet Championship matches from Luton, Reading and Cardiff, which all ended in defeats.
After getting one point from six games at the beginning of the 24, huddersfield are second from bottom in the Championship table.
Cowley, who has been in control of Lincoln to the previous 3 years along with his brother Nicky, distanced himself from a movement night.
He explained:”For us, no sympathy to Huddersfield, who are an fantastic club and have had an incredible period getting into the Premier League, but we have worked very hard at this soccer club over the years we’ve been here.
“Our club is in a excellent location, therefore for us to look at moving our families and ourselves from this club it would need to be the ideal opportunity.”
Cowley had confessed to holding discussions with Huddersfield within the empty place, however, dismissed speculation he was going to take more than Sheffield Wednesday boss, prior to Garry Monk’s recent consultation in Hillsborough.
He’s set to leave Sincil Bank after managing 176 games for Lincoln, overseeing the club’s advertising in back.
The prior Imps boss also guided his team to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the 2016/17 effort when Lincoln were in the National League, defeating Burnley, Ipswich and Brighton at the procedure.
Cowley’s negative were crowned League Two winners last term, winning the division by a six-point margin.
His first match in charge will probably be against Sheffield Wednesday at the John Smith’s Arena on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Football from 11.30am; kick-off 12pm.
