The Golden Nugget’s Ultimate Football Challenge has proven to be the best Las Vegas contest for members of Team Odds Shark through the initial two weeks of the season, partially because it allows entrants to select any mixture of seven components between college football and the NFL. It was Harry Gagnon’s Cuseboy entry that went 6-1 to tie with others for first place among the 282 contestants overall.
In Week 2, Cousin Sal did Gagnon one better by going a perfect 7-0, turning in champions with the Houston Cougars (+9), West Virginia Mountaineers (+6.5), Temple Owls (+7), Oklahoma Sooners (-22.5), Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5), Denver Broncos (+2.5) and Atlanta Falcons (+1.5). In going to remain connected for the overall lead with 12 points, not to be outdone by considerably, Gagnon put together. He’d winners with the Mountaineers, Eastern Michigan Eagles (+7), Iowa State Cyclones (+2), Buffalo Bills (-2), Falcons and Cleveland Browns (-2.5). Ironicallyit had been the Syracuse Orange (+27.5) who??kept Gagnon from matching Sal using a 7-0 mark.
The Szokoli brothers enjoyed winning weeks at the Ultimate Football Challenge, with Brian moving 6-1 as well and Darren ending up at 4-3. If you do the math, then that’s a fantastic 23-5 record (82% ) for Team Odds Shark in Week 2 of that contest.
The team continues to fare well in the William Hill College PickCeltics competition too, as mentioned Shark’s own Jon Campbell and Clay Travis every went. While Travis is 8-6 with the 3 co-leaders sitting at 12-2 campbell improved to 9-5 overall.
Additionally, two members of Team Odds Shark went 4-1 at Odds Shark’s and Paulo Antunes Joe Osborne on their five NFL picks from Circa Sports Million and the SuperContest . Even the New Orleans Saints (+2.5) maintained Antunes from moving 5-0 in a 27-9 street loss to the Los Angeles Rams that watched quarterback Drew Brees endure a principle injury requiring surgery. Meanwhile, the Osborne’s lone loss was the Cincinnati Bengals (-1.5), who were dismissed 41-17 from the San Francisco 49ers in the home.
