Juventus good Claudio Marchisio has announced his retirement.
The Italy midfielder won seven league titles and joined Juve at the age of seven.
He played nearly 400 games for Juventus and about leaving in 2018 combined Zenit St Petersburg, in which his sway last year was hit by accidents.
Marchisio has been part of the team that reached the 2012 European Championship and won 55 caps for Italy.
“I’m a kid from Turin who dreamed of playing for Juve and that did it,” he said.
Marchisio remained with the club for the next 12 years and, pub one time on loan played his first game in 2006 for Juve.
He struggled to maintain a normal position in the side until his move to Zenit suffered a knee injury in 2016 and, from then on.
Nicknamed’the little prince’,” Marchisio also helped Juve to four Italian Cup wins and two appearances at the Champions League’s final.
