Leicester City director Brendan Rodgers is the new favorite to take more than Mauricio Pochettino in Tottenham.
A spate of bets are put on the Northern Irishman taking hands at White Hart Lane following Pochettino, sending his cost.
Just three days before, Rodgers had been 8/1 to succeed the Argentine in the North London club, although that’s been slashed into 7/2, which makes him the clear favorite.
Around 36% of stakes in the past 24 hours have endorsed to shooting over from Pochettino Rodgers, which makes him by far the most backed in the marketplace.
That means preceding favourite, Jose Mourinho, whose odds have slid from 3/1 outside to 9/2 is overtaken by him.
Elsewhere, Massimiliano Allegri chimes in as the next favourite for the job, followed closely by Englishman Eddie Howe.
Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique follows adjacent at 9/1, followed closely by Rafa Benitez (10/1), Thomas Tuchel (16/1), Diego Simeone (33/1) and Carlo Ancelotti (33/1).
Pochettino (10/1) is now the third favorite to be the next Premier League director to leave his post, now ahead of the likes of Steve Bruce (16/1).
Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat has now caused a slight dip in their chances drifting to win the league.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson:”Heading into Pochettino’s sixth season at Spurs, coming fresh from the Champions League final and really producing some worthwhile additions to a badly depleted squad — couple could anticipate the Argentine to be under this much pressure only six games into the year.
“But it appears that he is, also punters believe the Brendan Rodgers would be the man to take more than him if he does decide to depart.
“Rodgers’ Foxes aspect have been cut out of 18/1 pre-season into just 5/1 to complete with a Champions League place, exemplifying how great a job he’s doing in the King Power Stadium. That is certainly one to keep your eye on.”
