MMAOddsBreaker.com can now formally confirm UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic was forced out of his upcoming UFC Fight Night 76 bout against Ben Rothwell due to an unspecified training accident. Both top 10 fighters were scheduled to throw in the co-main event of following Saturday’s (October 24, 2015) event in Dublin, Ireland, which is headlined by the lightweight conflict involving Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier and will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Miocic (#3 ranked HW) was coming off the very remarkable performance of his career, a fifth round TKO stoppage of former title challenger Mark Hunt where he place a UFC heavyweight record for most strikes landed in one struggle. He’s won four of his last five fights with his only loss being a decision against former champion Junior dos Santos. Rothwell (#7 rated HW) is now riding a three-fight win streak which comprised surprising first round upset stoppage successes over the Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. There’s been no word yet as to whether UFC matchmakers will have the ability to get a last minute replacement or when Rothwell is going to probably be forced off the fight card.
