This weekend, we’ve got a 13-fight card at Kansas on ESPN+. DraftKings has some solid contests considering that is a free card and that I look forward to pursuing the GPPs. The main GPP is a $15 buy-in and $25k belongs to 1st place with a total of $100k being paid out. They have a brand new Qualifier for $175,000. There’ll be 100 qualifiers for that competition and they’ll compete for a $50k first place cost and $175k will probably be spread out between all 100 admissions that qualify. I won my very first seat into it a few weeks back and I will try to get my 2nd seat this week if at all possible. Those Qualifier only competitions can be real bankroll suckers therefore be cautious chasing those too hard. I’ll probably stick to the very best GPP this week and then throw a small number of entries at that $25k decoration, then I will likely have a few shots in the Q. I will also be posting H2Hs as well as picking up H2Hs through the week to get a good quantity of play into cash games.
With that said, let us get into a couple plays I enjoy this week along with my fade of this week:
Cash Game play of the week — Yana Kunitskaya — $8,900
There actually are no money game guards this week for me personally but I went with Yana because I fully expect this fight to go all 3 rounds so that I enjoy the floor she brings to the table. In addition, I think she wins the battle and I think she is going to be the fighter heading for takedowns. I really don’t understand how high her ceiling is in cash games it doesn’t really matter a lot because we don’t need to strike 1st place in a double-up. I would expect about 10x from Yana in a decision win and I will take that all day in my money games.
GPP play of this week — Louis Smolka — $8,300
Smolka struggles tend to score highly as there are a great deal of scrambles and the grappling advances really add up. I anticipate this to be a very fun battle, but it ought to be Smolka that’s the one going for the takedowns. I am always trying to find no less than 10x from my fighters and at $8.3k I would be amazed if Smolka did not get that with a win. The lowest he has ever scored in a win is 99 DK points and he’s scored 162 vs Nguyen and he has a 61-point reduction to Elliott that is more DK points than Schnell’s triumph over Beltran. I adore Smolka as a GPP play here and if he wins I’d expect near 100 DK points.
Underdog play of the week — Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos — $8,000
For a struggle that I expect to remain standing, I’ve quite a lot of interest in this struggle. I believe it’s going to be an action-packed fight and I think somebody gets knocked out. This is also the mid-range fight of the week, so that I feel that a KO from either guy would have a good chance to put them on the optimal lineup. I enjoy it even more because I am choosing the underdog to acquire the knockout and I expect Millender to function as greater owned fighter. I’ll have this struggle in over half of my lineups, but that I shall probably have at least double the possession on dos Santos over Millender. I believe it is a better GPP fight than it’s for cash games, but I think dos Santos is currently in play for cash since he’s an underdog and I have him winning. I really don’t feel confident in several underdogs this week, but I’ll have a fantastic amount of exposure to dos Santos.
Fade of the week — Anthony Rocco Martin ($9,200)
At $9.2K. Martin will need a finish at that salary and that I don’t see that happening. When he wins a clear 30-27 conclusion, he then likely scores mid 70’s and at his price tag which will not win anybody a GPP. I don’t believe he moves for takedowns in this matchup and I believe he utilizes his wrestling to keep the fight standing. Even if he can move for takedowns then I don’t see him filing Moraes. So, it has to be a KO out of him to cover off that salary and I am not willing to take that risk with my money. That is why he is my fade of the week.
