There’s a lot of money to be obtained DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the main tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier competitions on this week, in which the last event will pay $50k into 1st for those who did qualify to perform inside. I will be chasing those as well since we have not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I want it. We did have one struggle fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a great card to construct your bankroll to get the very first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to pursue that $1M.
Money Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit will be super chalky in championship. Everybody who’d Shevchenko within their lineup is going to switch to Zabit and he will likely be the most possessed fighter around the slate. In cash games we do not really care about ownership as much and I am going to be starting my money team with Zabit. I believe he’s the easiest win on the card and he’s the highest ceiling as well. I think if you would like to find sneaky and not use Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do that. Lock him in money and take the easy win. Then you only need to learn about 3 other wins and you should have a winning cash group.
GPP drama of the week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is close to the finish of his career and I am thinking this will be the final time we see him in the UFC. I think he is going to be handed his 5th loss in a row and I am guessing it is going to be via knockout. I believe Alex White is going to be too powerful and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I believe he will be able to keep this fight on the toes. With everyone paying up for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and a few other mid-range favorites might be a fantastic way to go to make your lineups more contrarian and try to find 1st place in a GPP that way. I really do like White a fantastic bit in this struggle and I think he’s 100+ point potential at an $8.6k salary. Because of this, he is my GPP drama of this week.
Underdog play of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week since I don’t think Craig White is any good. Sanchez may be entirely shot, and if this is the situation he could get KO’d early. However, I really don’t think Craig White ought to be -200 contrary to any UFC fighter. Diego is economical enough where it allows you to get some of those higher favorites you like in your lineup, and now I think he can get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, but it’s not a certain pick and I think he makes to get a much better GPP play than money punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I am looking forward to seeing this battle and I’ll be picking Aljo to get the win here. My difficulty is that I do not believe he is quite likely to score highly, and perhaps not even 10x his wages. I believe a lot of this fight will happen on the feet and Aljo does not throw in a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He’ll need to get this fight to the floor several times and stand up some progress points for him to score tremendously. I don’t see that occurring. I think this will be a very close fight and I would rather just cover some of the fighters over Sterling. I think we would be looking at a score about 70-75 DK points using an Aljo choice win here.
