General Betting Rules
Bet Types
“Match” (aka 1X2) is where it’s possible to wager on the (semi or definite) result of a match or event. The choices are:”1″ = Home team/Player 1, or the participant recorded to the left side of the deal;”X” = Draw/Tie, or the selection at the middle;”two” = Away team/Player 2, or the player listed to the right side of the deal. In particular instances or particular competitions, 888 might exhibit an offer in the so called”American” structure (ie: Away Team @ Home Team), where the sponsor group is recorded following the visiting team. No matter the positioning of the teams on the board/betslip, the references to”Home” and”Away” teams will constantly refer to the real teams playing at home (sponsor ) and off (visitor) respectively, as determined by the official organization.
“Correct Score” (aka Result Betting) is where it’s likely to wager on the (partial or certain ) exact score of a game or event.
“Over/Under” (aka Totals) is where it’s possible to bet on the (semi or definite) amount of a predefined phenomenon (e.g. goals, points, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). If the total amount of the recorded occurrences be just equal to the gambling line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Example: an offer in which the betting line is 128.0 points and the game ends with the outcome 64-64 will be declared void.
“Odd/Even” is where it’s likely to bet on the (partial or definite) amount of a predefined phenomenon (e.g. goals, factors, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). “Odd” is 1,3,5 etc.; “Even” is 0,2,4 etc..
A”Head-to-Head” and/or”Triple-Head” is a contest between two or three participants/outcomes, originating from either an officially organised occasion, or else, as almost characterized by 888.
“Half time/Full time” is where it is possible to bet on the outcome in half time and the final outcome of this game. E.g. if at all time that the score is 1-0 and the game finishes 1-1, the winning result is 1/X. The wager is void if the normal period of the match is performed in another time format compared to those listed in the bet (i.e. other than two halves).
“Period betting” is where it is likely to wager on the outcome of each distinct period in a match/event. E.g.. If the interval scores in an ice hockey game are 2-0 / 0-1 / 1-1, the winning result is 1/2/X. The wager is void if the regular time of this game is performed in a different time format than those listed in the wager (i.e. besides three periods).
“Draw No Bet” is where it’s possible to bet on either”1″ or”two” as defined in”Section B, Para 2.1″. It’s also common practice to refer to”Draw No Bet” in cases where no draw odds are offered. Should the particular match contain no winner (E.g. match ends as a draw), or the specific occurrence not occur (E.g. First Goal, Draw No Bet and game endings 0-0) the stakes will be reimbursed.
“Handicap” is where it is likely to wager on whether the chosen outcome will be successful once the listed handicap is added/subtracted (as important ) into the match/period/total score to which the wager refers to. In these circumstances where the result after the adjustment of the handicap line is just equal to the betting line, then all bets on this deal will be declared void. Case in point: a bet on -3.0 goals will be declared void when the team chosen wins the game by just 3 goals difference (3-0,4-1, 5-2, etc). Any reference in this section to the term”margin” is designed to be understood as the consequence emerging from the subtraction of the goals/points scored by both teams/participants.
Unless otherwise mentioned all handicaps recorded on 888 website should be calculated based on the outcome from the start of the recorded match/period to the end of the specified match/period. It is however customary that for certain handicap bet provides in specific sport (Asian Handicap in Football), just the outcomes obtained from the time of bet placement until the end of this recorded timeframe will be taken into consideration, thus disregarding any goals/points scored ahead of the time the wager was placed and accepted. Any bet offer with these attributes will be clearly displayed on site and highlighted from the punter’s Bet History with the score in the time of wager placement.
There are 3 different”handicap gaming” formats:
2-way Handicap: Team A (-1.5) vs Team B (+1.5)
Example:
Team A is given a -1.5 goal handicap in the match. For the bet to be won, Team A should win the game with a perimeter equal or bigger than the recorded disability (ie. Two goals or more).
Team B is given a +1.5 goal advantage in the match. For the wager to be won, Team B must either win the game, match end in a draw or not lose with a perimeter equal or larger than their recorded advantage (ie. Shed with a 1 goal margin).
3-way Handicap: Team A (-2) Draw (Just 2) Team B (+2)
Example:
Team A is granted a two goal handicap from the match. For the wager to be won, Team A must win the match with a bigger margin than the recorded handicap (ie. 3 goals or more).
Draw are the victorious outcome should the game wind up with the recorded margin (ie. Match ends with outcomes such as 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2).
Team B is given a two goal advantage in the match. For the bet to be won, Team B should either win the game, match finish in a draw or not shed with a perimeter equal or larger than their listed advantage (ie. Shed with just a 1 goal margin).
Asian Handicap: Team A (-1.75) vs Team B (+1.75)
Example:
Team A is granted a -1.75 goal handicap from the game. This means that the stake is divided into two equal stakes and put on the results -1.5 and -2.0. For the bet to be fully paid out at the listed chances, Team A must win the game with a bigger margin than both of their recorded handicaps (ie. 3 goals or more margin). In the eventuality that Team A wins with just a two goal margin, the bet will be considered as partly won with a complete payout over the -1.5 portion of the wager plus a refund on the -2.0 side because the result on that component of the bet could be considered a”tie”. If the game create any other result, including a Team A victory with only 1 goal of margin, the whole bet will be lost.
Team B is given a +1.75 aim advantage in the match. This usually means that the stake is divided into 2 equal bets and placed on the outcomes +1.5 and +2.0. For the bet to be paid out in the recorded odds, Team B must either win the game, match end in a draw or not lose with a perimeter equal or larger than some of the listed advantages (ie. Shed with just a 1 goal margin). In the eventuality which Team B falls with exactly a two goal margin, the wager will be considered as partially lost with a refund on the -2.0 portion of the wager and a reduction on the -1.5 portion of the wager. If the game produce any other result which leads to a defeat of Team B with a margin of more goals, the entire stake would be missing.
“Double Chance” is where it’s possible to bet concurrently on two (semi or definite) results of a game or event. The choices are: 1X, 12 and X2 with”1″,”X” and”2″ as described in”Section B, Para 2.1″.
“Outright” or”Position” gambling is where it is possible to choose from a list of alternatives and bet on the eventuality that a participant wins or places within a specified place in the classification of their listed event/competition. Should a couple of participants discuss finishing positions, the settlement will based according to the definition of”Section B, Para 5.14″.
An”Each Way” bet (aka EW) refers to a wager where the chosen choice must either Win or else Place within the payout provisions. The wager is split in 2 components (the”Win” part and the”Place” component ) of an equal bet. Settlement of these stakes will take into consideration the rules regulating the”Win” and”Position” bets, namely the Sport-specific principles as well as”Section B, Para 5, Clause 11″.
“Goal moments” is where it is possible to bet on the amount of the minutes once the goals have been scored. When settling such bets, goals scored in injury time of both halves must be considered as having been scored in the 45th minute in case the goal was scored in the first half injury time and the 90th minute in case the goal was scored at the second half injury time. Own goals will not count towards the settlement of individual participant’s’goal minutes’.
