General Betting Rules
Bet Types
“Match” (aka 1X2) is where it’s possible to bet on the (partial or definite) result of a game or event. The choices are:”1″ = Home team/Player 1, or the player listed to the left side of the deal;”X” = Draw/Tie, or the choice at the middle;”2″ = Away team/Player 2, or the player listed to the right side of the offer. In particular instances or specific competitions, 888 might display an offer in the so called”American” format (ie: Away Team @ Home Team), in which the host team is recorded following the visiting team. Irrespective of the positioning of the teams on the board/betslip, the references to”Home” and”Off” teams will constantly refer to the actual groups playing at home (host) and away (visitor) respectively, as determined from the official organization.
“Correct Score” (aka Result Betting) is where it is likely to wager on the (partial or certain ) precise score of a match or event.
“Over/Under” (aka Totals) is where it’s possible to wager on the (semi or definite) amount of a predefined occurrence (e.g. goals, points, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). Should the total amount of the recorded occurrences be exactly equal to the betting line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Case in point: an offer where the gambling line is 128.0 points and the match ends with the result 64-64 will be declared void.
“Odd/Even” is where it’s likely to wager on the (partial or certain ) level of a predefined occurrence (e.g. targets, factors, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). “Odd” is 1,3,5 etc.; “Even” is 0,2,4 etc..
A”Head-to-Head” or”Triple-Head” is a competition between two or three participants/outcomes, originating from either an officially ordered event, or else, as virtually defined by 888.
“Half time/Full time” is where it is possible to wager on the result in half an evening and the final result of this game. E.g. if at Half time that the score is 1-0 and the match finishes 1-1, the winning result is 1/X. The bet is void in the event the regular period of the game is played in another time format compared to those recorded in the bet (i.e. besides just two halves).
“Period betting” is where it is likely to bet on the outcome of each separate period in a match/event. E.g.. If the interval scores in an ice hockey game are 2-0 / 0-1 / 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/2/X. The wager is void if the normal period of this match is performed in another time format than those listed in the bet (i.e. other than three phases ).
“Draw No Bet” is where it is possible to bet on either”1″ or”2″ as defined in”Section B, Para 2.1″. It is also common practice to refer to”Draw No Bet” in cases where no draw odds can be found. If the particular match contain no winner (E.g. match ends as a draw), or the specific occurrence not occur (E.g. First Goal, Draw No Bet and match endings 0-0) the stakes will be refunded.
“Handicap” is where it’s likely to wager on whether the chosen outcome will be successful once the listed handicap is added/subtracted (as applicable) to the match/period/total score to which the bet refers to. In these circumstances where the outcome after the adjustment of the disability line is just equal to the gambling line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Case in point: a bet on -3.0 goals will be declared void if the group selected wins the match by just 3 goals difference (3-0,4-1, 5-2, etc). Any reference in this section to the term”margin” is designed to be understood as the outcome appearing from the subtraction of this goals/points scored by both teams/participants.
Unless otherwise mentioned all handicaps recorded on 888 website should be calculated based on the outcome from the start of the listed match/period to the conclusion of the specified match/period. It is however customary that for certain handicap bet offers in specific sport (Asian Handicap in Football), only the results obtained from the period of bet positioning until the end of the recorded timeframe will be taken into consideration, thus disregarding any goals/points scored before the time the wager was placed and approved. Any bet offer with these attributes will be clearly displayed on site and emphasized from the punter’s Bet History with the score in the time of wager positioning.
There are 3 different”handicap gaming” formats:
2-way Handicap: Team A (-1.5) vs Team B (+1.5)
Example:
Team A is granted a -1.5 goal handicap in the match. For the wager to be won, Team A should win the game with a perimeter equal or larger than the recorded disability (ie. Two goals or more).
Team B is given a +1.5 aim advantage in the game. For the wager to be won, Team B should either win the match, match finish in a draw or never shed with a perimeter equal or larger than their recorded advantage (ie. Lose using a 1 goal margin).
3-way Handicap: Team A (-2) Draw (Just 2) Team B (+2)
Example:
Team A is granted a 2 goal handicap in the match. For the wager to be won, Team A must win the match with a bigger margin than the listed disability (ie. 3 goals or more).
Draw are the victorious outcome should the game wind up with the recorded margin (ie. Match ends with results such as 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2).
Team B is given a two goal advantage in the match. For the wager to be won, Team B should either win the game, match end in a draw or not shed with a margin equal or larger than their recorded advantage (ie. Shed with only a 1 goal margin).
Asian Handicap: Team A (-1.75) vs Team B (+1.75)
Example:
Team A is given a -1.75 goal handicap from the match. This means that the bet is divided into 2 equal stakes and placed on the results -1.5 and -2.0. For the wager to be paid out in the listed chances, Team A should win the game with a bigger margin than both of the recorded handicaps (ie. 3 goals or more gross income ). In the eventuality that Team A wins with just a 2 goal margin, the bet will be regarded as partially won with a full payout on the -1.5 portion of the bet and a refund on the -2.0 side since the outcome on that component of the bet would be regarded as a”tie”. If the game create any other result, such as a Team A success with only 1 goal of margin, the entire stake will be lost.
Team B is given a +1.75 goal advantage in the game. This means that the bet is split into 2 equal stakes and placed on the results +1.5 and +2.0. For the wager to be paid out in the listed odds, Team B should either win the game, match end in a draw or not lose with a perimeter equal or bigger than any of the listed advantages (ie. Lose with just a 1 goal margin). In the eventuality which Team B loses with just a two goal margin, the wager will be regarded as partially lost using a refund on the -2.0 portion of this wager and a reduction on the -1.5 portion of this bet. Should the match produce any other result which leads to a defeat of Team B with a perimeter of more targets, the entire stake would be missing.
“Dual Chance” is where it’s likely to wager simultaneously on two (partial or definite) outcomes of a match or event. The options are: 1X, 12 and X2 with”1″,”X” and”two” as described in”Section B, Para 2.1″.
“Outright” or”Position” betting is where it is possible to choose from a list of choices and wager about the eventuality that a participant wins or places within a predetermined place in the classification of the recorded event/competition. Should a couple of participants discuss finishing positions, the settlement will based according to the definition of”Section B, Para 5.14″.
An”Each Way” bet (aka EW) identifies a bet where the chosen selection must either Win or Place within the payout terms. The bet is divided in two parts (the”Win” part and the”Position” component ) of an equal bet. Settlement of these bets will take into account the rules regulating the”Win” and”Place” bets, namely the Sport-specific principles also as”Section B, Para 5, Clause 11″.
“Goal moments” is where it is possible to bet on the sum of those moments once the goals are scored. When settling these stakes, goals scored in injury time of both halves must be deemed as having been scored in the 45th minute in case the goal was scored in the first half injury time and the 90th minute in case the goal was scored in the second half injury time. Goals will not count towards the settlement of participant’s’target minutes’.
