General Betting Rules
Bet Types
“Match” (aka 1X2) is where it’s possible to wager on the (partial or definite) outcome of a game or event. The choices are:”1″ = Home team/Player 1, or the participant listed to the left side of the offer;”X” = Draw/Tie, or the choice at the center;”2″ = Away team/Player two, or the player listed to the ideal side of the deal. In particular instances or specific competitions, 888 might exhibit an offer in the so-called”American” format (ie: Away Team @ Home Team), in which the sponsor group is listed following the visiting group. No matter the positioning of those teams on the board/betslip, the references to”Home” and”Away” teams will always refer to the actual teams playing at home (sponsor ) and away (visitor) respectively, as determined from the official business.
“Correct Score” (aka Result Betting) is where it’s likely to wager on the (partial or definite) precise score of a match or event.
“Over/Under” (aka Totals) is where it is likely to wager on the (semi or definite) level of a predefined occurrence (e.g. targets, points, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). If the whole amount of the recorded occurrences be exactly equal to the betting line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Case in point: an offer where the betting line is 128.0 points and the match ends with the outcome 64-64 will be declared void.
“Odd/Even” is where it’s likely to bet on the (semi or definite) level of a predefined occurrence (e.g. targets, factors, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). “Odd” is 1,3,5 etc.; “Even” is 0,2,4 etc..
A”Head-to-Head” and/or”Triple-Head” is a contest between two or three participants/outcomes, originating from either an officially organised occasion, or else, as almost characterized by 888.
“Half time/Full time” is where it is possible to wager on the outcome in half an evening and the final result of this game. E.g. if at all time that the score is 1-0 and the match finishes 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/X. The wager is void if the regular time of the game is performed at another time format than those listed in the bet (i.e. besides two halves).
“Period gambling” is where it’s likely to wager on the outcome of each distinct period in a match/event. E.g.. If the period scores in an ice hockey match are 2-0 / 0-1 / 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/2/X. The wager is void in the event the normal period of the game is played in another time format compared to those recorded in the bet (i.e. other than three periods).
“Draw No Bet” is where it is likely to bet on either”1″ or”2″ as defined in”Section B, Para 2.1″. It’s also common practice to refer to”Draw No Bet” in cases where no draw chances are offered. Should the specific match comprise no winner (E.g. match ends as a draw), or the specific occurrence not occur (E.g. First Goal, Draw No Bet and also match ends 0-0) the bets will be reimbursed.
“Handicap” is where it is possible to wager on whether the selected outcome will be victorious once the recorded handicap is added/subtracted (as applicable) into the match/period/total score to which the wager refers to. In those situations where the outcome after the adjustment of the handicap line is exactly equal to the gambling line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Case in point: a wager on -3.0 goals will be declared void when the group chosen wins the match by just 3 goals difference (3-0,4-1, 5-2, etc). Any reference in this section to the word”margin” is intended to be understood as the consequence appearing from the subtraction of the goals/points scored by the 2 teams/participants.
Unless otherwise mentioned all handicaps listed on 888 website should be calculated depending on the result from the beginning of the recorded match/period towards the end of the designated match/period. It is however customary that for certain handicap bet provides in particular sports (Asian Handicap in Football), only the results obtained from the period of bet placement until the end of this listed timeframe will be taken under account, thus disregarding any goals/points scored before the time the bet was placed and approved. Any bet offer with these attributes will be clearly displayed on site and highlighted from the punter’s Bet History with the score in the time of bet positioning.
There are 3 distinct”handicap betting” formats:
2-way Handicap: Team A (-1.5) vs Team B (+1.5)
Example:
Team A is granted a -1.5 goal handicap in the game. For the wager to be won, Team A must win the match with a perimeter equal or bigger than the listed disability (ie. 2 goals or more).
Team B is granted a +1.5 aim advantage in the match. For the wager to be won, Team B should either win the match, match end in a draw or not shed with a margin equal or larger than their recorded advantage (ie. Shed with a 1 goal margin).
3-way Handicap: Team A (-2) Draw (Just 2) Team B (+2)
Example:
Team A is given a 2 goal handicap in the match. For the wager to be won, Team A must win the match with a larger margin than the recorded disability (ie. 3 goals or more).
Draw would be the victorious outcome if the game wind up with exactly the listed margin (ie. Match ends with outcomes like 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2).
Team B is given a 2 goal advantage in this match. For the wager to be won, Team B should either win the game, match end in a draw or never lose with a perimeter equal or larger than their recorded advantage (ie. Lose with just a 1 goal margin).
Asian Handicap: Team A (-1.75) vs Team B (+1.75)
Example:
Team A is given a -1.75 goal handicap from the match. This means that the bet is divided into 2 equal stakes and put on the results -1.5 and -2.0. For the wager to be paid out in the recorded odds, Team A should win the match with a bigger margin than both of their recorded handicaps (ie. 3 goals or more margin). At the eventuality that Team A wins with just a 2 goal margin, the wager will be regarded as partially won with a complete payout over the -1.5 portion of this bet plus a refund on the -2.0 side because the result on that component of the bet could be regarded as a”tie”. If the game create any other result, including a Team A victory with just 1 aim of margin, the whole bet would be lost.
Team B is granted a +1.75 goal advantage in the game. This usually means that the bet is split into 2 equal stakes and placed on the outcomes +1.5 and +2.0. For the wager to be paid out at the listed odds, Team B should either win the game, match finish in a draw or never lose with a perimeter equal or bigger than any of their listed advantages (ie. Shed with only a 1 goal margin). In the eventuality which Team B falls with exactly a two goal margin, the wager will be considered as partly lost with a refund on the -2.0 part of the wager and a reduction on the -1.5 portion of this wager. If the match produce any other result which leads to a defeat of Team B with a perimeter of 3 or more goals, the whole stake would be missing.
“Dual Chance” is where it is possible to bet simultaneously on two (partial or definite) results of a match or event. The choices are: 1X, 12 and X2 with”1″,”X” and”two” as described in”Section B, Para 2.1″.
“Outright” or”Position” betting is where it is possible to choose from a list of choices and bet about the eventuality that a player wins or places within a predetermined position in the classification of the listed event/competition. If a couple of participants share finishing positions, the settlement will based according to the definition of”Section B, Para 5.14″.
An”Each Way” bet (aka EW) identifies a bet where the chosen selection must either Win or else Place within the payout provisions. The bet is divided in two components (the”Win” part and the”Position” component ) of an equivalent stake. Settlement of these bets will take into account the applicable rules governing the”Win” and”Place” bets, namely the Sport-specific rules also as”Section B, Para 5, Clause 11″.
“Goal moments” is where it’s likely to wager on the amount of those minutes once the goals have been scored. When settling such stakes, goals scored in injury time of both halves must be deemed as having been scored in the 45th minute in the event the goal was scored in the first half injury time and the 90th minute in case the goal was scored in the second half injury time. Own goals will not count towards the settlement of individual participant’s’goal minutes’.
