Frank Lampard has been joined by ashley Cole in the coaching team, where he is going to work together with all the U15s of Chelsea.
Cole announced his retirement after a successful 20-year playing career at the age of 38 from football in September.
The three-time Premier League champion has obtained a part in the youth academy of Chelsea as trainer and he will look to bring the crop of youngsters through to Lampard team.
In his first interview since taking the job, Cole said:”You need to be a top player to play for Chelsea so that they want those high ex-players influencing and attempting to assist the next generation grow and be better players.
“Chelsea have been fast and most likely one of the very first clubs to truly tap into that, not only with coaches but team from the loans group and other departments, to bring them back to pass on their expertise and experience.”
Cole spent the Vast Majority of his career at Arsenal and Chelsea before finishing spells at LA Roma Galaxy and Derby County.
The Champions League winner performed under managers and he hopes to embrace a few of their features.
Cole added:”Everyone has their own doctrine but you also have to take ideas that you enjoy from various coaches. The very first thing I discovered on my training badges was that each coach is a thief.
“I wish to take elements of Jose Mourinho in terms of how organised he had been, Carlo Ancelotti for his man-management and the way he would give players faith to move out and express them inside his system along with Arsene Wenger, that was definitely a great man-manager and put a great deal of confidence in young players.
“I need to be the best. So it’s about knowing what it requires, I have been around a great deal of players and managers. I understood as a player what it took to be the best and it’s about trying to move that to how I could be the best as a coach.”
