Andy Murray attained his singles by beating Briton Cameron Norrie at the second round of the China Open.
After two tight places shot on tie-breaks, Murray raced throughout the decider to win 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (4-7) 6-1 after almost three hours in Beijing.
It is the first time hes won two ATP Tour singles games because hip resurfacing surgery in January.
Murray will face Austrian leading seed Dominic Thiem or the Zhang Zhizhen of China.
The three-time Grand Slam champion functioned for the first set but Norrie broke back to force a tie-break, also saving three set points before he double-faulted to hands the opener to Murray.
Number 24, three Norrie, jumped into a 5-2 lead in the moment before Murray reacted to carry it – to go 7-4 down.
Murray loudly admonished himself after mistakes and advised his coaching team that he wasvery bad following the initial group.
Yet the Scot was moving well, looking to get recovered following his win over Matteo Berrettini on Tuesday, also won 71% and 70 percent of points on his first and second function respectively.
And Norrie had no response to positioning and Murrays energy in the decider, the world number one dividing twice to wrap up victory.
Murray will have a day off until playing his tie.
His ATP Tour singles quarter-final look has been a defeat at Spaniard Fernando Verdasco in the Shenzhen Open in September 2018.
