Manager Rudi Gutendorf, who holds a Guinness World Record for training 55 teams from 32 countries across five continents, has died aged 93.
Gutendorf career spanned half a century, for example time at top-flight teams at his native Germany.
‘Restless Rudi’ took his first management role from the 1950s, while his final role in direction was Samoa in 2003.
German FA vice-president, Dr Rainer Koch, called him a”outstanding ambassador of German football”.
“We lose in him a person who has improved us through his huge soul and soul daily,” his family said.
