Liverpool v Salzburg in Anfield could be a yummy little affair.
The Austrians certainly made their mark around the Champions League a fortnight ago — sticking six past Genk within their first ever match in the contest, and even though a giant step in quality of competition, their front of Erling H??land along with Hwang Hee-Chan seem as they could cause even the best defences in the world issues.
Nearly every one of their aims against Genk came on the countertops, and the devastating efficiency at will not have gone unnoticed by Jurgen Klopp, who will understand his side will dominate possession on Wednesday.
Naturally, Liverpool dropped their opener away at Napoli, however theyre rather literally unbeatable at Anfield, and thats not about to change, because they demonstrated last year into winning the contest.
However, rather than funding a Liverpool victory, I am going to also adhere to score on both groups.
Liverpool have kept two Premier League fresh sheets this year –not one at Anfield–and theres a decent bit of value in backing the home win, but together with Salzburg.
There is very little point in talking about how many targets that the visitors have scored domestically (spoiler: totally loads), but Liverpools expected-goals-against that year is at over one-per-game, so that I would not sleep Salzburg creating some pretty significant problems on the best way to conquer.
Liverpool tend to be characterised by their early goals (and really Salzburg, but once more, their national form must be analyzed with a huge pinch of salt), and the match anticipated to be rather open — with all the visitors looking to counter whenever possible — we might be in for a lot of early action.
A goal was scored before 10 moments in two Liverpools three home games this season, and at a match where there is not loads of value, I can not help but believe this is well worth a punt considering Salzburgs probable tactics of having a proper go.
A target in the first 15 minutes of this game is my next tip.
